Does anybody whether the drivers in the GP2 or GP3 series use tear-offs on their visors?

F1 drivers use them, but they have much longer races.

Reason I'm asking is, that I found one after the Turkish GP and would like to know whether it came from a F1 driver or whether it could have come from another series.

I would think all series would , if nothing else from someone in front losing a motor or anything and spraying a visor , or a simple off course excursion by someone previously in front .

Do they sweep the track in between races though? I would assume if you found it on track it could be from the most recent race.

Found it in the grass at pit entry. Pit entry and exit are where you have best chances of finding them. I doubt the marshalls sweep the grass between series.

    Thanks and thanks.

Now that you mention it, I'm sure it looks like the one Alonso uses. :)

Turkey was awesome. Seriously. Fantastic trip and great GP experience:

    - Istanbul is a fantastic city to enjoy and party
    - transportation to the track is easy and fast (forget those horror stories about the bridge, not true)
    - track facilities are superb: lots of places for your in- and output, all clean and safe
    - track with elevation changes and few catch fences, which means you get to see a lot and unobstructed

In the scheme of things I rate the experience as better than Silverstone/Monza/Hockenheim (no surprise there) and about on par with Barcelona/Budapest. Only places like Montreal, Indy and Monaco are better.

I was there also, on Sunday It took about 25 minutes to get there, it took almost 2 1/2 hours to get back, and I was staying on the Asian side.

I agree about Istanbul, one of the truly great cities in the world.

For a thrill in Istanbul take a ride in a taxi!!!

It took us only an hour to get back: Our van driver was brilliant and chose a back door exit. We drove cross country for 15 minutes and then back into the empty highway. The guy was a genius.

True. Although nothing is scarier than doing that in Cairo.
