I guess people ignored the G7's plea to have less volatile market conditions...LOL Anyway, today I picked up and started reading, among scores of other books, Soros' "The Alchemy of Finance". It looks very interesting. Anyone like this book or his views?
Anyway, today I picked up and started reading, among scores of other books, Soros' "The Alchemy of Finance". It looks very interesting. Anyone like this book or his views?[/QUOTE] Its a good book, what i found interesting was that the process of writing his thoughts down about the markets and how the dynamics were changing forced him to confront his actual positions as the events changed. It corresponded with a massive improvement in his profit performance.
Concise reponse eh? Lol For those who are interested I am starting a real money account sometime in the next 3 weeks. I will be very interested seeing if I can keep my emotional detatchment mindset going when the real $$$ is on the line. Let's hope so! My first goal is to make 25 tics per day trading NY hours from 7am-noon.
Bubbles A lot of our trading has to do with moving averages. If traded correctly a lot of money was available that day...
While I did not trade the number, you might find it to be pretty amazing that of the 25 people in my class who DID trade the number, only 1 person was long EURUSD. Everyone else made an absolute killing. I was told today by my professor that I was ACCEPTED to work with her this summer as an intern trading real money! 5 or 6 other classmates will also be doing the same. We are trying to setup having CNBC do a story on us and the professor's internship fund. Hopefully we do well and get some nice exposure. I am quite elated at the moment
Anyone have any books good books for futures trading? Futures fascinate me, and I want to know more about how they work, etc etc.
I have a quick question about tech analysis and ETF's. Does it apply to them? I dabble in pennies (and have been doing well so far, but it takes up a decent chunk of time) but most of my money is in blue chips. Recently ive been thinking about mutual funds and ETF's. I was looking at the nasdaq 100 and correct me if im wrong, but it looks like it should come down a bit based on the charts.
