Hi FChatters, I'll be at Essen to see Techno Classic Essen. Althought I already have been in RetroClassic in Stuttgart, this will be my first time in Essen. What can I expect to see there? Thanks a lot!!!
Wear comfortable shoes! Make sure your camera battery is fully charged. I went a few years ago and walked the show for three days just to see the various halls. Enjoy!
Everything. If you are looking for parts, there is usually a great selection to choose from. You could easily spend 2 days looking at all the show has to offer. Have a good time.
I will take five cars with me. It will be shown in Halle 3 at my Stand Lange Automobile. Greatest classic car show in the world! 17 halls last year. Stuff you will never see anywhere else. Prepare to be shocked and enthralled.
You need more than one day to really see it all. Even if you're only interested in Ferrari a day is just enough. I'll be at the press day and maybe the weekend too. Edit: @Martin what day are you going?
You need all 4 days to really see it! Each time you go around again you see something you missed last time.
I'll be there on Sunday. There's always the feeling that you might have missed something... Gr. Martin
We will be there showing our Turrino alloy rim wire wheels, stand 317, hall 9. We will be happy to offer a 10% discount on any orders from FChattters at the show. Speak to Sean on the stand. Will
Thanks everybody!!! Unfourtunally I'll not be there for the press day as I would like to (even I'm a classic car journalist) as there's no direct flight from Lisboa. I think it will be another great show...we'll see...
Fellow F-Chatters are welcome to come and pass some time with me on stand 9 - 121. That's stand 121 on the ground floor in Hall 9. Will be there from Wednesday afternoon to close of play on Sunday. Hope to see you there
The show covers over a million square feet with about 2500 cars on display, so there's a fair bit of walking. Last year there was about 50 Ferraris - California Spyders, 250 Breadvan, Enzos, 512M racer, 275GTB, 212, Daytonas, 246, etc, etc. Also Lambos, Rolls Phantom II, 111, Mercedes 540K about 6, Gullwings about 12, SS100 Jaguars, Delahaye, Delage, Bentley 8 litre, Bugattis, Alfas, Astons, etc. Most cars are for sale so you could go home with a souvenir!! There'a also lots of stands selling parts, books, models, clothing, etc. I have to be there as I'm one of the organisers. A week of looking at nice cars.
I've just been on the site and looking at lot 234, does this mean the breadvan is up for sale, or is it more a case of it may be available if somebody was interested. And if it was for sale is it worth the figures commanded by a GTO, or is it less desirable, surely it is more special than a GTO as it's the only one. http://www.coys.co.uk/auction.php?itemID=422&auctionID=10
eh what??? The true Breadvan is fitted with a correct V12 engine while this car at COYS has a simple US-V8 fitted! Ciao! Walter
Sorry, just saw the lot and came straight on here and noticed nobody had mentioned (which i thought was strange ). I didn't know there were replicas of the breadvan I thought it was unique. Learn something new everyday.
Well, Yes, but I prefer a world championship winning V12-engine over a simple world championship winning V8! And the V12 looks much better...:) Ciao! Walter
Italian V12 = the Sex-Bomb among the automotive engines! US V8 = Redneck! What do you prefer? Ciao! Walter
Oh you had to do that, well I am not a big fan of 20K valve jobs and 15K cranks. So.. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
