Has anyone used one container of Techron for every tanfull of gas in a F355? As per Techron's recommendation, one container will last aprox. 3,000 miles. Although the spark plugs and wires were replaced about 10 months ago, periodically, my F355 hesitates slightly, particularly after relatively long trips (200+ miles). Usually, Techron will take care of the hesitation. I was wondering if using Techron on a regular basis could cause harm in any way. Any suggestions?
    Thanks

Manuel, what brand of fuel do you use regularly? The general concensus about Techron is that if you use Chevron fuel, you don't need Techron, as it is added to all the fuel they sell. If I am wrong, someone please correct me, but I only use Techron if I haven't filled up with Chevron in a while.

I try to use chevron everytime I fill up for the techron reason. When I first bought my 355 I used the techron additive with chevron for at least three tankfulls, because I did not know what the previous owner used.

Yes, it did help noticeably. The car runs alot smoother since the treatments. Now I think I will use techron about every five or six tankfulls.

There really is a difference in fuel brands. A friend of mine had been using crap gas in his car for months, and it was running rough and idling poorly. I told him to run a tankful of Chevron through it and see what happened. Lo and behold, after about a half tank of Chevron, the poor running went away! He didn't even add additional Techron to it. Made a believer out of him for sure!

Absolutely correct about Chevron fuel. I've been using it exclusively for years in all my cars, and I've never experienced an engine problem.

I rmostly use EXXON but also Texaco from time to time. I usually re-fill between 1/4 and 1/2 tank. The car "does not like it" if I let the gas tank go lower than 1/4. Since the fuel filter is chamged twice a year, and I use the car for an average of 4,000 miles a year, I believe the quality of the gas is the issue. That's why I have been adding a container of Techron to almost every tank full, but I am not sure if too much Techron can also do harm.
    Thank you for your response.
