3 more pics (I have many more but need to find;scan; gather them) The Jaguar E-Type V12 was exported to Switzerland around 1988 I think. It had minimal mileage (under 10K kms), manual gearbox and amazing factory "Heather" colour. The car is still in Geneva with the same owner 26 years later... Note the "TEH ... " export plates. Salam Nima, Thanks, The pictures, especially of the Jag convertible take me back to another time and era. Keep them coming if you can. Given by the license plates, most of the pictures are from the pre-revolutionary era. Do you have any idea about the approximate dates ? Ghorbanet
Thanks dear Ramin, Dino and 911 Turbo come from mid 80's, E Type looks like late 70's and the others are from 90's. Some other special ones: (The last ones are a bit different indeed!) Hi, Here is my contribution to the "blast from the past". I was helping my parents clean out their storage (khaneh Tekani) for the Now Ruz vacation and I came across some old newspapers. Here is a newspaper pictorical of Niavaran Palace from Keyhan newspaper printed ten days after the revolution in (February 24,1979). You can see the Miura SVJ awaiting its fate after the fall of the Royal Palace. Nima already posted this in the Miura section, but I went ahead and scanned it again. I think that the Jensen Interceptor crashed into the mountains in route to shomal. (My father crashed his Corvette in the same incident). I had a picture but I can't find it for the moment, will post it whenever I reach it.
Here's the pic of Mr. Ferdowsian's Miura SV I mentioned yesterday. Thanks to Eric Anderson. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi, I thought it was about time to cover another one of our tours. This one was carried out by the Tehran Province Chapter of the Classic Car Committee of the Iranian Motorcycle and Automobile Federation, run by Safa Ahmadi, a noted car and bike collector. This was their fifth annual event. It was to the ski resort of Dizin, which in the off season, also has one of the best mountain driving roads, and is a personal favourite. Here is the poster welcoming the guests at our usual meeting spot, the Darabad zoo parking lot in northern Tehran. Enjoy. Nima and Alireza keep the vintage photo's coming when you can.
