i've always loved military helicopters. seems this is a new, civilan variant of the military little bird. anyone know anything about them, flown in them, like them, hate them?

They are flown in hawaii with the doors off.
I read a cool story online about a guy flying one from CONUS and delivering it to the caribbean.

Well proven, been around for a long time. Original model (OH-6) was used in Vietnam.

Very popular with police as they are fast and very manuverable.

Many are used for forestry, power line, sling work, etc.

As turbine helis go they are simple with no hydraulics, etc.

over simplified it takes an exposed propeller and moves it internally...open tail rotors have caused incidents...it should make it safer around the tail area of the helicopter
