Good video from EE as usual. Although it could have explained better why high revving engine does not need as high maximum torque. While Ferrari 3-litre V6 beats Lambo 4-litre V8 in maximum torque by 10 Nm: ICE torque (max): 296 GTB: 740 Nm @ 6250 rpm (+1.4%) Temerario: 730 Nm @ 4000 - 7000 rpm The difference is more dramatic in total system torque, where Ferrari beats Lambo by 100 Nm. Total system torque (max): 296 GTB: 900 Nm (+12.5%) Temerario: 800 Nm That said, torque comparison is not totally fair. Due to higher rev range, Temerario will have shorter gear ratios than 296 GTB and is therefore likely to put more power to the road on the same gear on the same travel speed. Max revs: 296 GTB: 8500 rpm Temerario: 10 000 rpm (+17.6%)
