    Update.

I will start sending some tops out tomorrow but I do not think I will be able to do all of them. Too early to say.
You guys have been patient enough but..the best laid plans of mice and men......

However, all is there to do is the binding but it is a delicate process on such a large, semi-rigid, thick piece. I do not want to rush.

    Some pictures...

Looks fine to me, but I would love to see a couple of pictures when its installed on the car and especially from the inside
So we can see how its mounted on the inside
And if we are able to drive with it [limited speed] home when rainy

The drivability has been discussed before. Basically the top can handle a limited speed drive but the main issue is how to get in the car :).
Since it is attached (suction cups) to the window glass, you would need to have someone "close" the top after you get in the car. That is actually the main reason I got a wife :). The drivability is really a moot point in as much one can put the regular top back on.

Have been following this thread with interest. The product looks great.
    Two questions:
    1. Are you still taking orders?
    2. Can you make the black/black top with red stitching?
    Thanks, John

You can forget that. I tried it with mine last weekend and I have one of the original Carbrella's that is being duplicated here. I have two houses about 1 1/2 miles apart and I tried to drive it from one to the other SLOWLY to wash it. Just won't work. No way no how.

I think that the top will work fairly well if it starts raining and the car is stationary. I got caught a couple of times with the car opened and it rained or was threatening to rain but I was away from the car (in fact, it happened while I had the prototype on but had forgotten it was on).
But for driving you can not beat the regular top. It seems that the 348 has some kind of soft top that is mounted onto a metal tubular frame and is hinged. That appears that can be used for driving in the rain but it is quite a complicated piece.

Man you look a little young to be starting a business! ;) ;)

PM sent but if it's not too late can you make my binding red? If it's already done black is fine too.

Thanks again for taking this on!

    An independent review

First, I was kind of surprised to see it here, as I haven't even paid in full yet! Keep an eye on your paypal box Gianluca

Some minor assembly required (screwing in the suction cups). It seems pretty well made, not that I'm an expert.

It fits easily behind the seats or in the trunk. The size is perfect, and it's easy to put on and take it off. There's no way to put in on and then get in the car, so driving with this top won't be possible. I don't think it would hold up to a downpour, but a quick shower shouldn't be a problem. It will work great as a sunshade while out and about.

You can open the door with the top by simply popping the suction cups and flipping it up. See pics.

All in all, a nice addition to the car. The only minor thing is that the suction cups leave marks on the window. Some overly-tight people might be bothered by that :D

I also got mine today! I agree it looks great and seems like it will hold up well. I won't bother posting pics since there are a lot here already.

Thanks again for taking this on and producing a top notch product Gianluca!

Appears that this will fit on the inside of the hard targa top while it is stored behind the seats. (if you have the exterior side of the top towards the back of the seats. Looking forwar to receiving mine as well. Many Thanks G. Tom

True but you can wash it with soap and water and hose it down.
