Just received mine also. Does indeed look great, even better than I expected. I'm having the local F* gang over tomorrow for a tech session, so will have a chance to show it off & maybe you'll get some more business!

Now that I have it, I'm having 2nd thoughts about black. Since it's primary purpose is to keep the interior clean while the car's garaged during the driving season, probably something like tan wouldn't show the dust as much as black will. Hopefully the black will vacuum or wash easily.

I made my own. Bought a quality large off-the shelf metalized mylar sunscreen from AutoZone, & used a knife to remove the outer binding. Then laid a sheet of red ruby paper on my windshield & made a template. Trimmed the sunscreen to match the template, & sewed the binding back on while watching a movie.

However, I'd think there's enough potential for gianluca to consider running off some.

Got mine! Looks great!!! I already have some ideas for modifying it to make it "driveable" - I'll post more as soon as I finish the prototype.

Verell's approach sounds great for those who can pick up a needle without stabbing themselves. Not me, sadly. I got mine about a year ago from an outfit mentioned here. Purpose made for 308. I'm happy with the fit. Center is held in place by the rear view mirror, edges tuck into the windshield corners/sides, no need to use the visors. Sadly, the receipt did not survive moving, and I didn't find them just now using Search. The shield says Heatshield, Canvas Works, Sunnyvale, CA. I remember the Sunnyvale address, but Canvas Works does not ring a bell....

    Verell,
if you rather have a silver or tan one, I will gladly exchange it. I have posted some pictures of a silver and a red on my car. From a pure aesthetic point of view I like the black the best.
I have posted also the swatch of available colours.

I guess I'll stay with black.

BTW, I just noticed that it's longer than my GTS QV's targa top. When the front edge is against the windshield, the back extends onto the roof about 1" past the targa top opening. Is this intentional?

It sits on the indent of the "roll bar", rather than end on top of the rubber molding.

Thanks. The wheels are Compomotive 3 piece wheels with spun aluminum rims and magnesium centers. They were on the car when I bought it 6 years ago.

    Regards, John

You are very lucky those wheels are gorgeous and expensive.
You think you can find more info about those wheels. Thanks.

Yes it is. I liked the support better there and it may help to shed the water better. In fact I made the original cardboard pattern a little shorter but brainstorming with my wife, we agreed th stay a bit longer (1/4").

He may have been busy with the fabulous wood-fired brick oven he built in his back yard :) Got to get up early in the a.m. to make fresh bread for the neighbors and stay up late to make real pizza!
