On August 30, I celebrate 10 years with my 348. Now at nearly 80k miles, the car has endeared itself to me to the point that it's part of the family. 3 major services, 2 clutches, a wheel bearing, and an alternator later, it's in the body shop for a full repair and repaint after the f'ing eucalyptus tree by my house dropped a branch on it. Kinda like vet bills I guess.
Anyway, unlike the two Challenge cars (yes, I'm bragging) this one seems to be "til death do us part". It's getting some plastic surgery now, (wrinkles removed, boob job) so it'll have a fresh face and more for the next 10.
    I love that damn car.

He has challenge seats covered in leather. If you knew Bruce you'd know that a factory perfect paint job means nothing in terms of his ownership. This car will be driven like a cheap rental that was stolen!

Congrats and here's to having her back soon.

I swear the only reason she's being rebuilt is because of those custom shields! Without those it would have been off to the scrap yard. ;)

A bit of an update. After 9 months in the body shop (thing free storage), it's now got some paint on it. Not colorsanded or buffed yet, obviously, but nevertheless, straight. I've gotta say the the Sherwin-Williams paint is fantastic. The body shop changed over from PPG as a result! Now that I'm free of the "straight title gotta keep it original" bs, it's ready for some hot-roddin'. Stay tuned for some lexan and some aluminum in the interior.

Nothing can come of paint so good that "unfinished" the clouds are reflected in it.

VVassallo to FBB..."You are incapable of maintaining a concourse level car." Don't answer your phone. You will be getting that call.
