That's what I am saying.....It has been proven that a crime was committed with the sale of this car so legally shouldn't it be returned to the owner?.....The motherland has an extradition treaty so if the car is in the U.K. Shouldn't it be returned through the legal system. As far as I always remember it's buyer beware when it come to stolen goods.....Maybe PP can chime in on this one ?
The owner of the car spent a considerable amount of money trying to recover the car, but once the costs got to an already ridiculous amount, he pulled the pin. At least now that it's proven that it was stolen, I guess he can claim on insurance, but the value of insurance then compared to the value of the car now will leave him well and truly short. It's very unfair, but I don't know what the option is.
You would think the claim would be at market value after the trial when it was proven.....In otherwords the market value at the time of the claim as the car should technically still be in his possession?......
Yep I know where you are coming from John but this is a proven court case that has only just been completed.......
Wouldn't the insurer only have to indemnify the insured for what he had at the time? That, was a $450K motor vehicle. Of course, I would feel differently had I been fortunate enough own a Daytona.
Went for a swim, had a few beers, a shower, a nap and now reading rubbish (FChat) and contemplating another beer. I wonder what the peasants are doing......... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
