I have to say I liked the jag they raced in the early ninties. That V12 racing around Wellington (NZ) sounded fantastic.
Yes, but I went to the Nissan M obil 500 in NZ in 1990 I think and it was there. Anyway this is the car I was meaning. http://nz.youtube.com/watch?v=if2j6yqZg0Q
that was actually quite sensational. only 6 seconds slower than today. how the hell did a jag V12 hang together for 1000km?
that was their last race series One of the team cars ,it won bathurst and the Spa 24h is in melbourned owned by Mike roddy, who did my Jags motor.
Drove the 6 speed manual M3 today wit me side kick. Everything I thought it would be,fast, well built ect. was a little bit nervous when pushed but be a nice driver. Question does a person who does about 60/80ks a week need a new car? At the price of on the road at 180k, gut feel would be to buy a new Carrera 2 for 220k odd. Carbon roof was a nice touch as was the leather facio where wood would go. Kelsa what were your thoughts?
From a financial point of vieww, no Buy a 2nd hand one with high K's but still under factory warranty instead, you'll only be doing perhap 5k per year, so it won't add to it's mileage significantly ( ie not much depreciaion) Or put another way, swap an iconic, rare Ferrari supercar of the 70's for a car that will be sold at Pickles auctions for 75K in 4 years time What do you reckon? Sounds like a reason to BAN you from F-Chat M
I like new cars,if its my drive car. BB, broke my heart never again.Anyway prefer driving the "Cat' I'm a Porker boy,ban me.
then buy it and lend it to me when I'm down for the GP next year even with that pathetic dyno output ??????? ohhh, Waxxy boy, Bobby is calling you
bit poofy IMO. We nee a Hardore car maybe a M5 . The M3 IMO lacked grunt. As you said "The Jags got more grunt" Image Unavailable, Please Login
Solid engine, great gear box, driving position is very good, great onboard gadgets and very smooth and comfortable ride on open highway. BUT bit hard to heel and toe, clutch is so light that very hard to find the friction point, my shoes kept on getting caught on the foot rest when clutching coz the clutch and the foot rest are so close together. i think someone with really good car controlling skills would enjoy the tail happy car. but certainly if that's with traction control on, then its not the car for me. PP and B27 reckons there might be oil on the road, but i think a portion goes to the thing between the steering wheel and the driving seat lol
could have been oil,as it broke traction with me on and the tyres had heat 'in 'em. Nice car if you wanted one car only i'd put me hand up.
i felt the car slide a bit over a few round abouts, but i thought you did it on purpose and tried to have some fun
