    Yeah... agreed.

Looking back it's like they added a new island fixed the graphics a bit and that's about it. Everything else they went backwards.

The one big thing is the bumpy roads that they fixed, that alone is keeping me from going back to TDU1.

The DLC2 is now out for all consoles.

    The bikes are pretty fun.

I'm a little bummed the 250 GTO cost over 4 million in the game but at east you can test drive it :)

Go to the xbox live marketplace in the game add on section and get DLC2 for free to test drive. If you want to buy the cars or bikes in game, you first must purchase them with MS points to " unlock " them before buying them with in game money. Cars were 80 MS points a piece.

    The patch is free :p

The bikes are 80pts a pop. The bikes handle better than the cars lol

I'm not going to buy the bikes because I rarely play the game but I did take them out on a *drum roll* test drive :D

I used to play TDU1 non stop when it came out, the new one I bought it and probably played it 1 or 2 times and then never picked it up again. What a POS game vs the original.

Any of you here lose DLC cars? I had a DBS Carbon Black, Veyron Grand Sport Sang Bleu, 612 Sessanta, 599 China Edition, and an Audi RS5. Now, they are all pink Mustangs.

Got it fixed. Turns out I didn't have those installed, so I just downloaded them again, then used a backup and I had them. This is the first time I played it on my new PS3.

I'm thinking about getting this. I downloaded the TDU1 demo last night and played it a little.(dont know why I didnt get TDU2 but hey, it was late)
I'm thinking about TDU2 just because there's more cars it seems and it's the most recent.
To be clear, is the CS in TDU2?

No CS. Though, the Scuderia AND 16M are in the game. Decent Ferrari list...Scuderia, 16M, 308, Dino 246 GTS, 458 (for PS3 only), 612, 599, 599 GTO, Enzo, and California. If you want to buy some DLC, you can get the 599 China Edition, 612 Sessanta, FXX, 599XX, 250 GTO, and F40. 99 cents each.

There's quite a bit to do in the game. There are treasure hunts where if you find 10 wrecked cars, you get a free car (VW Beetle, Citroen 2CV, Shelby Daytona, etc.). Then there are random challenges you'll run into, like Adrenaline, Tail, Jolt, and so on. Then, each island has a photographer studio, where you take photographs of different scenes on the island.

Overall, I give it 7/10. You'll enjoy it, but there are less cars than TDU1.

So which did you prefer? TDU1 has the CS(on of my favorites) and I think it has the 250 GTO and maybe a couple more.
The price difference looks to be only $7 but that's not too important.
Overall (cars, gameplay, houses, lifestyle, etc) which is better? Ignore the $7 cost dif

I haven't really played TDU1 to give you a comparison. I just read the car list on the TDU1 Wiki and it is much larger than the TDU2 selection. Though if you are a fan of Maserati and Lamborghini, they are no-shows in TDU2. Character models and animation aren't the best, but the variety of customization present for your character and houses is very wide. The first house (or better yet, trailer) you get won't have much to customize, though once you get better houses your options will increase. The open-world environments on Ibiza and Oahu are fantastic, and you can go off-road in some SUVs (H3, Touareg, Range Rover, ML63, Spyker SUV concept, Q7), a treasure hunt Buggy, and the Subaru Impreza (you can go off-road in any car, but those have the best off-road performance). Also, when you go off-road, your car will get mud and dirt on it.

The bad parts for me are the voice acting and the overall plot of the game. The handling used to be bad, but with a recent update they have been improved.

Others may not like TDU2, but I certainly do. It's a fun game, and it's nice to cruise around Ibiza and Oahu in a RUF RT12.

Though, I will give you a bit of advice for when you start the game. Do NOT get the Mustang. Get the Lancia Delta. The handling on the Mustang is terrible, and the top speed is barely 100. The Lancia is a far better handler, and has a top speed of around 140.

Here is the car list for TDU2.

Neither game is really great, though if they put them together it probably would have been the best game ever made.

    TDU1:

    Pros:
Great car selection, lots of different kinds of cars.
    Pretty decent driving physics.
    Great online mode.
It's fun to just go drive.
    Cons:
Bumpy roads that will drive you mad.
Not the best looking thing in the world.
Cars are now out of date.

    TDU2:

    Pros:
Walking around in houses is really cool.
    Smooth roads.
Looks pretty good, bright blue sunny skys etc.
    Neither Pro/Con:
Weather/Night, sometimes you just don't want to drive at night or in the rain, but too bad you're stuck with it until the weather and time changes.
    Cons:
Car selection, 90% supercars, 10% SUVs.
    Horrible physics.
It took over a year to get the bugs worked out in online.
It's really just not that fun to play, I play for 30 minutes at a time and have to go do something else.

For me the pros of TDU2 ruined TDU1 for me, I'd be perfectly content with TDU1 is 2 never existed. The smooth roads and looks of the game and the walking around is very very cool. But it's just not near as fun as TDU1. I'll admit that I've spent a significant portion of my life on TDU1, probably around 2-3 weeks of total play time over the last 6 years and I've never been able to play TDU2 for more than an hour straight. I can't go back to TDU1 though because of the roads and houses etc.

At the beginning you win a car from Miami. Can you sell that? I need an A7 but don't want to sell the lancia and I can't sell the mustang. This is so annoying because I don't want the mustang and I want to lancia and an A7
Please help me, a Noob who will probably ask a billion more questions :)
