Good choice. Is the wife just as excited or did you have to talk her into it? Everytime a Salesman talks me into to something I have to go into Salesman mode and go confront my wife( LOL, at least it seems that was sometimes).

LOL! I'm assuming (I know, that'll make an ass out of me!) that the S Class going in p/x was a dd... :)

Also, as a dd, I would struggle to think of a finer piece of machinery. Good choice OP.

I thought Maserati of Cleveland closed? Are you working with Gary Goodman? Rumor has its sold to Davis Auto Group in Solon or somebody in Akron. I'm bought my GranSport from them when they first opened up.

    Jason,

Is that an F1 or the new auto trans, please?

If it's the auto trans model you drove, did you also drive the F1 model to compare?

And if auto trans model, did you like?

well we picked up the maserati but we kept the s class and gave the dealer the 325i, I was going to trade in the s class but a bad thing happend I couldn't part with my s class. So were keeping the s class as our daily driver and the maserati is going to be the car we take out when the kids get left with the grand parents. But since its snowing right now were going to use the suv. Oh if you see a blk maserati QV in brecksville ohio say hi.

sorry it takes me so long to reply on here. I like the non auto model, The auto model is not as much fun to drive in my opinion. Were using this car as the toy we kept the s class and gave the dealer the 325i. I used the 325 as my dailey and the s class as our family car now the S is the dailey. Talk to you latter. Jason

So you actually got to drive the auto version of the Quattroporte? What did you think of the changes to the interior on the auto versus the DuoSelect version? Specifically what didn't you like about the automtic vesus the Duoselect?

the auto just didn't look right to me in the car, It makes the interior look like it belongs in some other car. I guesse I just like the old ones.

    Brian,

    Thanks for that link.

It answers exactly many questions I had.

i'm going to F of SF to test drive the automatic.

Looks like a nice car that does not need a clutch every 20K miles!

I would appreciate clarification. I have been waiting for Maserati to come out with the "new" automatic ever since my disappointment with (I am not sure how you refer to it) the "normal" (delayed acceleration) and "sport" (too low a gearing and constantly shifting) modes.

I have recently been in touch with dealers in California and Nevada who have yet to receive a demo and tell me they will not have one for a few weeks. They tell me once they get it, I can order and it will take about 4 months to get the quattroporte.

Are they being delivered now or was there something special about one or two people getting their hands on them?- Best
