Wow, what an experience! I'll do a full write up with pictures this evening when I'll be able to download the photos.

    In short, it was stellar!

Any guess when Remo will have an intro party (FEBRUARY?) for the 599? I wonder if there will be any LP640 gatecrashers? It does have 4WD!!!

Man, I must say I was really impressed with the car at the showing we had in Monterey. The cabin is tighter and less shelf space than the 575. The interior is great and trunk space good. I really like the flow through rear buttresses and the front is gorgous in person. The whole car is very very nice in person, the only question mark is the rear, which unfortunately is the part of the car most people would see.....;)

I am a convert from being on the fence to cool about it from pics to really liking it in person. And very glad Ferrari is paying so much attention to weight.

Am I the first person on F-Chat to have driven one?

From the pics I've seen, I'm very disappointed they didn't keep with the 4-taillight configuration. It's a Ferrari tradition.

I find that it is very hard to be the first person on FChat to do anything.

Hows the 599 head room compare to 612 & 550?

Bill, I found the 550 headroom was ok except for the header frame intruding a bit and being very close to the left top part of my head. The 599 is pretty similar with a bit more room above. The cabin is overall a bit cozier I think but for most, fitment will not be a restriction.
