Just bought a 1990 Testarossa with 12,000 miles and just freshly serviced. My question is where should the clutch catch? I also have a 328 and it catches about a quarter to half way up from the release, similar to almost every stick I have driven. Driving the Testarossa I almost have to fully release the clutch before it catches. The car otherwise is smooth, no slipping but wondered if the clutch is about to go or does it need adjusted or is this normal?

    Any advice would be apprecated!

    Thank you!

No not normal it should start catching at about 1.5 off the floor. I think it may be near its end, no biggy though just drive til it slips then replace.
