Hi! The inner cover/shield for one of my 1990 TRs Distributor caps was in pieces. Has anyone been able to source these? It has the Marelli logo but no part number. Thanks!!!

Part numbers are shown for those but it is unclear if it is the correct number.

Have you tried an actual experienced Ferrari parts person familiar with the TR? More likely they'll be of help than us.

Because left and right are the same. In the book they have different left and right part numbers. One is called a spacer and the number comes up as a spacer used for the distributor seal on some cars. The other number comes up as a "Cover" for $485. I do not think that is correct.
The books are full of errors and is why I think its dumb in many cases for people to use web sites to order parts. I have been in the Ferrari business for a long time and I call good experienced parts people and let them do their jobs.

that is really very strange and irritating, have not recognized this before. but I think from the price it is the spacer ( 133066 ), even it is more a cover than a spacer. but for such little plastic so much money???

    One's labeled 46, the other 45.

But 45 is also the number for the spacer in front of the camshaft oil seal.

And Maranello Classic Parts lists it as POA which means they do not have any. It was last shown as north of $400. I have seen many cars running just fine without them. For that price my car would be running without them too.

Yeah. I don’t have them in mine. Runs just fine. Oil never collects there even if there’s a small leak.

Yes, they mangled that, and the "45" label going to the other 46 part on the 1-6 bank just shouldn't be there (the labeling on the 7-12 bank parts is correct).

+1 -- I never even realized that they were missing on my ex-TR ;).

Dont think its worth the trouble. It first showed up in the 90 parts book. As far as I can tell with all the distributor leakage issues we had I think it was just there to redirect oil to the drain hole in the distributor mount.

I have a CAD model I created for this part and can 3d print it from carbon filled nylon. I have this installed on my car currently.

If anyone wants them that badly I'll sell them mine.

For the first 5 years the cars didn't have them and worked perfectly.
