Anyone installed their own exhaust on a TR? Anything special to it? Id love any advice, tips, warnings. Thanks! Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
Seems like a pretty basic remove and install type deal. I assume the whole rear clip needs to come off. Sorry for my useless post, I cant wait to do an exhaust next year!
[emoji51] haha....all good, Ill mark that as one for the confidence/try it category! Thanks! Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
I did mine last year. Capristo and it sounded soooo good over stock and I have secondary cat deletes. I think I have nice test pipes from another one lying around. Just plan a day. Put it on a lift or jack the rear as high as you can the proper way. I bought a cross brace for my floor jack that spans across the frame rails for an even jack up procedure. Spray all of the bolts with your choice of break free spray. Yes, you will need to take off the rear valance and there are a lot of small bolts to keep up with. Hopefully you have someone that can help you lift the old muffler out and set the new one in while you tighten the upper mount bolts. Just study it and use common sense. If you are a wrench turner then it is easy.
One point is that mufflers are not super-precision items -- you may need to loosen, and then re-tighten the other joints in the system (header-to-precat and precat-to-cat) in order to keep the tailpipes in the right places and have everything connect up. These intermediate exhaust joints are meant to act like ball and socket joints to be adjustable and absorb the tolerances in all the components (since the cylinder head ports are in a fixed position and the tailpipes are in a desired fixed position something else has to be adjustable).
Gentlemen...thank you so much for you responses! I am going for it! Ill let you know how it goes- stayed tuned for a sound clip...or a pic from a flat bed with a box of parts[emoji16] Here we go!! Thanks again guys Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

Wow!! I cannot wait. Youre the first person on this forum to bite the bullet as far as I’ve researched. Awesome!

Question guys... are these temp sensors for the gauges? There are no ports for them on the exhaust... any advice about what to do with them? Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
Hit a major snag. The first y piece that attaches to the headers does not match up....were talking 1/4 inch off. My mechanic buddy said its too far to try and "force" it. Its not a matter of one or more being too tight before lining up and tightening the others...unfortunately. Going to flat bed it to a fab shop to have it lined up....then to a mechanic to finish. Buuuummer. Oh well. Always feels good to know a car better after you work on it. Im sure the kriesseig guys built it perfect to their jig, but these hand made cars are all just a tiny bit unique I guess. Hope to get this all going in the am.... cant wait to hear this! no, only for the "slow down" lights the 12 in 4 in 1 I don´t like so much. and as westcoasta mentioned the diameter where it comes into 1 is too small. instead of this a turbo would be much better
They should be mounted just downstream of the first catalytic element that the exhaust stream encounters in the system. If you have no catalytic elements in your new system, you can just bundle them up and store them behind the cover just above the 1-6 Accumulator where their ECUs are located. What's in those short fat cylindrical sections -- are they cats or just empty or ?
Please keep us posted on this Im really interested in this exhaust. Can you give a little more info as to exactly which one you ordered. There are like 5 different versions of sound level. The loudest was "F1 sound really loud" lol. No one ever mentions which one they have. Not sure if any one else has seen on instagram a guy named PetFred has a white testarossa "PetVice" with a Kreissieg and it spits flames. Pretty crazy!
I think the system is beautiful but crazy expensive Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I sold this exhaust to west coast a and petfred is my friend. There are only 2 versions : headers back or not. The 5 version u mention is the set up through the remote. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
