Any suggestions on getting a replacement gray insulation pad thats attached to the engine compartment hatch above the engine? Also is it difficult to remove the old one, and are they intalled with weatherstrip adhesive?
    Thanks

I need one also as mine has fallen off in lots of small bits. Best idea is to remove the panel and do it away from the car to stop all that foam getting all over your nice flat 12. I think they are unobtainable from ferrari but a kit car stockist must surley have some heat resiastant foam.

There are so many differences between models, you may not need one at all ,like mine

Do a search on this. There have been a few threads on this in the past. I got a Ferrari original from Ricambi about a year ago (not cheap). However many F-chatters had a few creative ideas at a MUCH more attractive $$$ and I kick myself because most onlookers wouldnt know the difference.

McMaster Carr has many sheets different options. Choice of thickness (1/4, 3/8, 1/2, etc.). Many have adhesive backing to stick to the lid, and several have an aluminized surface. Peruse McMaster-Carr.com. Search for item 9349K26 on page 3486. May not be exactly what you want, but there are many to choose from.

I really appreciate all your suggestions on what to use and how to install it, I am going to buy a roll of that double reflective insulation. Thanks again

Does anyone know if the insulation available from McMaster-Carr or Summit Racing comes in black with an adhesive backing? I don't want the words "Thermo-Tec" under the hood , and black is better than aluminum.
    Thanks
