I found this post after doing an obligatory search before starting a new thread asking where I could find some touch up paint for my red 360 valve covers - but no responses in over a year and a half!

    Anyone?

Red touch up paint for Ferrari valve covers?

I cannot be the first person in Ferrari history with this issue...

I don't know about the red wrinkle on Ferrari's but I've touched up black wrinkle on Maserati's and Lamborghini's by using a can of spray black wrinkle paint. I spray some into a container to accumulate enough to brush with.

Make sure the spots to touch up are clean.

    Warm engine up.

Use a small brush to dab it on thick.

Works OK with black but red????

I used the red VHT wrinkle paint on my TR valve covers, worked great. Still looks good 3 years later.

you can purchase the factory color from a company in the UK, but they want ship it to the US. It took me the better part of a month to figure this out so i tried the RTV crinkle paint. The paint shop sprayed the RTV and i was not satisfied with the color (the texture looked great) so the owner of the shop used his many years of knowledge to match the factory color it took two months to get it right and when it was done it was perfect. He also did this with the intake color, I was very satisfied with the finished product. After three months and almost $1000 US it was worth it. If you need help with the color send me a pm and i can help you short cut the time and money I think i still have the formula for the red/silver if i cant find it im sure it is on file at the shop that did the work.
