    Hi Wolfgang,

Thanks for posting this helpful information. I just want to be clear, are you saying to inspect the relays, and just replace them if they exhibit the copper symptons. However, if we choose to go even further, we should replace the the wiring too??

Also, does anyone have an approximate costs for the relays??

    Thanks a bunch.

    My pleasure,
The wiring harness and the jacks should be also replaced!
The problem is, the diameter of the wiring harness (too thin!) and the poor quality of the original jacks (jacks from the wiring harness to the board/box).
Thats why the relays are getting too hot and the conectors turning copper!
The board is melting and .....you know :(
You can not see it from outside!
Problems are coming up and you don`t know why???????
    F.E.: Fuel pump doesn`t works, Cooler Radiator doesn`t works, Engine doesn`t starts.......a.s.o.
First you are thinking; thats not a big deal and just the fuse - but the fuse is still o.k.!!!!!!!
It is a big deal and dangerous!!!!!!!

Yeah, Bosch factories in Spain indeed.

Apologies for the bad components and don´t forget that you Germans screw things up sometimes too... ;-)

    @Wolfgang,
talked with one of the most respected Ferrari mechanics in Holland today.
I told him about the relais and the changing colored pins.
He knows about it but says it is absolutly not an indication of heat or fire.
Even Ferrari's of 6 months old allready have this.

About the wiring he agrees but the relais are no indicators.
    Just telling what he said!!

Thanks Wolfgang for the good information. Sorry you had to learn via a fire. Looks like you fixed things quickly and you're OK now.

I'm wondering if the same concern exists for 328s.

I know there were a few upgrades on the 328s and maybe the wiring is a heavier rating.

Or should I post this on the technical forum?

I plan to look at my relays this weekend.

    regards,
    Pete
