    Can the headers on a 87 tr be polished? What are they made of?

    Why not wrap them with header tape to add performance instead?

    They are covered in an aluminum heat shield and the heat shield is there for a reason. Underneath it they are not very pretty polished or not.

    I had the headers on my BB512i ceramic coated in silver...they look great,chold in heat for better performance as well as radiate less heat in the engine compartment...
