Here is some tech experience I have had with a small ignition problem help came from our expert Steve M...

Driving home the LHS bank cylinders stopped working, I had a general loss of power.
    Stopped the car.
Checked all the usual connectors and tried to restart. Started on 6 cylinders again but now as soon as I released the key the engine stopped.

Checked all the usual suspects again of the connectors and ignition leads to no avail.
Swapped over the ignition power modules and while the engine still runs only 6 cylinders the engine continues to run after releasing the key from start. Suspect is the power module.
I replaced the LHS power module with a new one and still the same problem.
Im still convinced its a power module problem.
Keeping the power modules on the same side I swapped the coil units. Problem is now on the other side.
So, the problem is a bad coil unit; I am waiting on a new one to arrive.
I don't know what the problem is with the power module on the LHS is but as soon as I get the new coli fitted I will let you know if a bad coli can affect how the power module works.

Thanks to the elecktrickey wizard Steve M for advice on fault finding, much appreciated mate :)
