Anybody see "Kings of South Beach" on A&E last night? There was a pretty cool chase scene between a red Testarossa and a BMW, guns and all. It's playing several times this week if anyone's interested.....Charlie

Fair movie , but definitely some good TR action. Hopefully that scene gets on you tube pretty soon so everyone does't have to sit through the movie to see the TR in action.

The "Bad Guys" in the BMW were chasing and shooting at the "Good-Bad Guys" in the TR. One of the guys was hanging out of the passenger window in the TR shooting back at the BMW, pretty cool. Of course the TR gets away!.....Charlie

I did not see the movie. I wonder if it was a white one. It seems to me that "Miami Vice" used a white replica. Anyone enlighten me?

TR car chase takes place about 50 minutes into the first hour of the movie. It's the only time the car is shown. I liked it...

Producers musta either been on a tight budget or way toooo big fans of Miami Vice, as if I remember correctly, that TR was a version 1, with the bigass external mirror on the driver's side. Didn't notice whether it had center lock wheels(which would be typical of the 1st version).

Dunno if I'll watch any reruns, as I thought the movie was pretty lame, but might be worth recording, just to watch the car scene a bit more closely.

You failed to mention the two girls in the red Porsche who were topless!

AMA328: You are correct on the Miami Vice TR....had that big mirror and the big center locknut for the wheels. Apparently Ferrari gave them a black one to use, but it did not photograph well, so they painted it white and the rest is history.

That's the way I remember it, too. They told me at the dealership in Chicago that all the single-mirror cars had the center-lock; only the 87 had two mirrors and center locks, after that they were all 5-lugs.

BTW, is it just me, or did anybody else feel like Crocket got all the good drug dealer stuff they confiscated? Cigarette boat, the yacht, the Ferraris, the alligator, the good looking policewoman, etc...while poor old Tubbs is going around in that miserable 66 Caddy?

And yet it was all the way Sonny who was always right on the edge of a nervous breakdown. Go figure...
