Testarossa leather shrinkage

I'm having trouble figuring out how to remove the top leather wrapped rectangle panel above my 1987 Testarossa's glove box????? the leather is shrinking in this area and is exposing the plastic panel.

What are the steps I need to take to gain access to the panel (through my glove box) in order to re-stretch and glue my leather back to original look?
