Didn't know he was an F.Chatter.

It does seem just a bit over the top and it's a shame if he is genuine as a lot of people will dismiss it as a rather untasteful scheme to get rid of his car quick.

If it is gen' then I wish him and his wife all the best for a succesfulk recovery.

Why wouldn't one purchase a Ferrari on Ebay as long as there is an inspection period before any money exchanges hands. I would be wary otherwise. Actually I purchased a 1994 348 Spider on Ebay. Had it immediately brought to a Ferrari dealership where I had arranged for a complete inspection. Once that came back clear I flew to the car location, visually inspected it, drove it and bought it. It turned out to be a great car!...in fact I wish I had never sold it to trade up the Ferrari line.

I agree on the begging. I would consider this car if in the market for a TR but the begging part really makes the deal cheezy. Not sure I would want this guy hitting me up in person for money if I had to go pick the car up!

i too bought my mondial from ebay auction.
i'm in Los Angeles, the car was in Detroit.
the seller was honest, (but don't take anyone's word.)
i flew there and checked out the car.
paid for it and arranged for delivery.

i'd say it was a good buying experience.

as long as you're cautious in purchasing, buying from ebay is okay by me.
(now i can wait for an endorsement check from ebay...)

I believe someone posted the ebay add from the last auction & a few people thought it was the seller. It turned out he was just posting it in case someone wanted to buy it.

As far as I know, the person is not an F-chatter. But I could be wrong - I just remember that other thread.
