My 91 Testarossa’s gas pedal is 7,5 cm / almost 3 inches deeper closer to the floor then the surface of the brake pedal.
Not ideal for heel toe action.
My Ferrari mechanic continues to tell me this isn’t possible to modify to make flush.
I’ve driven 3 other cars with stock pedals where they are flush with one another so I know it can be done.

Can anyone shed any light on how to align them?

    Thanks
    Jason

When you say "three other cars" do you mean TRs? I have the same complaint with my 512TR

The 512TR workshop manual Vol 1 page G9 - G11 shows and discusses a brake pedal position adjustment. I do not know whether that adjustment has the range required to get the effect you are after nor if there is some negative effect from doing so.

I don't have the earlier car's manual but it probably has the same text and drawing. I would suggest discussing that drawing with your mechanic to see if he can explain what exactly prevents doing what you want.

Needless to say I would be very interested to hear what you find out.

An alternative would be to attach a spacer of some kind to the face of the throttle pedal.

Do people heel-toe testarossas? I’ve never tracked mine though.

Hi, yeah I meant three of the same, Testarossa models, but all three had a gas to brake setup that works well.
It’s not in the manual at all.

The first thing I did was make up my own spacer as it was driving me nuts. My 328 is perfect and my 550 is setup like it should be too. I don’t need a spacer pedal set as it clearly is possible from the other 3 cars…it’s either adjustable at the pedals or in the linkage to the throttle I guess.

They do when they know how to drive, here in the mountains of Europe.
If you want to drive any manual car, the way it’s intended you use rev matching. Either heel toe / forefoot forefoot, what ever.
It’s not a “race track” only method, it smooths your shift transitions and reduces the wear on your drive train.

    Try it out!

Smooth heel and toe takes a little practice!
