Went for $117,000+ $5,000 BP

I thought that was cheap for a car with 14,000 miles and a recent service, post-pandemic.

 

It also had the Speedline GTO wheels.

 

At least someone got the message. These are meant to be driven, not a commodity. I understand one gentleman has one in excess of 130,000 miles. That was the intended purpose of these cars. Give it love and attention but drive it like you stole it. It will take it!

1986 TR just sold for $170k on BaT.

 

I saw that. Pretty solid price. 16K miles.

 

so the prices are going up again?

 

They are certainly rising but seems that BAT is the place where they get top dollar , other auction venues have not done as well in Monterey

How long was it offered at $109k?

 

BaT just told me a two month wait to sell one of my cars there, I guess every dealer in the USA is trying to sell Testarossas they can't move off their lots there.

 

Another TR just now hit BAT. 1988 red with 5k miles

 

At least a couple months honestly outside of BAT this is a maybe 100k car. That’s what private party , consignment will get you.

My understanding is everyone and their brother are trying to get their testarossas on BaT right now, they refuse to flood the market with them but easily could put a few hundred up tomorrow if they wanted to.

 

That one is local to me. Really clean. Only issue I remember is the tires and I think there's a spot on the dash leather than needs repairing? Maybe I'm misremembering.

 

Mine had that too, 1500 for a little bit of leather ugh

A somewhat tough 5k by the looks of it.

 

Whatever clerk screwed up the mileage on the CARFAX very early in that cars life, leaves the remaining time frame and mileage to be questioned.

But I do suppose cars that sit, unused, sometimes have much harsher lives than those that do not.
