I know the car well. Whoever paid that much for it was a fool. I'm guessing if u saw pictures of the sales lady you would understand why it old so well though :)

Well whoever bought it felt it was worth this much so guess what, it is. Im happy to have this car as a comp for the rest of ours.

Parnelli- have you been able to find/purchase your car yet?

If ever you guys have the ferrari market new letter of this week i suggest you read their main article on valuation. Looks like they believe the market has is hitting rock bottom with prices significantly down from 2014-2016 period... now just wait to see if it goes up;)

Each car is different, u are right, what matters is u are happy with ur purchase.
Some would want for their tr to come service and no issues for XX k, some may not its all a personal preference and car available at that time, in ur budget and market. No right or wrong answer, just personal due dilligence gut feel leading someone to a purchase.

I read FML religiously! Great piece
I’ve already read todays edition. They did not say that the market has specifically bottened yet though. Just indicated that it has declined gradually since it hit peaked in the year 2014.

No, I have not found the perfect TR for me yet. I own plenty of other sports cars to drive and enjoy in the meantime.
So I have the luxury of being able to be patient in my search :)

I didn’t have the patience I was texting Nat every day to close the deal on his car. So far and 1,000 miles later the car runs great and only a coolant leak and a fuse panel overhaul. I will take the car to the La Jolla concourse next year, that great example it is.

And my wife kept telling me: who is texting u? Hahahaha
At the end of the day down market or not there are always people making money in a recession whilst ppl lose it all meaning that we can all find our perfect cars at the time thats right for us;)

Yes I do have patience. Especially for things that I don’t necessarily “need”.
27 years working in the stock market has trained me well !
And I one time waited over five years to find the perfect Porsche. Dude, It was totally worth the wait :)

    Hey guys,

remember when you were back in your 20's and one of your buddies was the first in your group to get married? Any he wasn't really quite sure that he made the right decision?

So he went around telling all of his still single friends "how great" marriage (aka buying a TR) was. But, in reality, he was actually just trying to convince HIMSELF !

    LOL !!!

Read between the lines fellas (Blk, ferralc, explode) :)

By the way, I waited quite awhile after my first buddy got married. I enjoyed single life (drove a "lot of cars" if you know what I mean :))

That buddy ended up picking the wrong girl (aka "car") and got divorced. Lost over HALF of his net worth!

He should have exercised patience and "drove a few more cars" while he had the opportunity

I got that divorce on Friday. She cost me a lot and I was glad to get rid of her. The new girl friend is 21 years younger and so much better in bed. The previous old lady needed diapers to go out in public.
