dont look for the cheapest ones chances are all major work needed thats why there priced low if u can do all the work paint/mecanical etc than it might be a good buy
That one in my neck of the woods. I have never seen it around. Let me know if you want me to check it out for you.
I will settle for the bottle your promise me In all honesty though, all the models for sale are the same for months. They are not moving; so we can talk on this forum all day long but although they will appreciate in time right now its not easy to get asking price for one. Daymn! That's some impressive mileage! I thought at 64,500 miles, mine was high. ....mine's been a daily driver since 8k miles Shamile Freeze...Miami Vice! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Yeah...can't get one. 06 Murcielago Roadster stick 298k 09 Murcielago LP640 Roadster stick 465k Glad you're enjoying a rare breed. I would like to get one but at that price range, you're well into high Aventador Roadster territory. I tried working with Lamborghini Sarasota to do a stick conversion but with months of preliminary research, the Lamborghini factory told the dealer that they would not provide technical support. A good shop can do it but I can't be bothered with open ended projects. Right now, my main inquiry is if there is any internal sensors in the Aventador transmission. Can they service it or is like a 30k - 40k exchange only? So far, Lamborghini Orlando says non serviceable. I'm waiting on my home dealership for an answer. The service manger Jordan was in Italy for Urus SUV training. Then $12k engine out clutch changes on the Murcielago at 25k miles doesn't seem so bad lol .....and everyone thinks a Testarossa is costly to maintain Shamile Freeze...Miami Vice! Bingo! We all want our hot, High School girlfriend.....then we see her current condition on Facebook and the image is wrecked. Same thing with our 'other lust'. We all want her just like the poster on our bedroom walls. Original, stock condition. No tattoos, no piercings, no after market kids. Buyers want her they way she came out of the box before some guy got his tramp stamp on her. I have a simple chrome horsey between the tail lights, something I could switch out in 5 minutes if I sold. Nobody wants to see 'Steve and Me FOREVER! CABO '89' on their girl. Thus they pass on to the un modded examples.
OMG....this is hilarious! ...and so true lol But hey, that perfect condition tr is going for cheap....just keep waiting....and waiting...and waiting. Shamile Freeze...Miami Vice! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Well Gentlemen, another special from Germany this week. When I saw the price I emailed him to see if it was a typo, it's not. Dealers usually include VAT so you divide by 1.19 to get the net price if you are exporting it, however sometimes it's not the case. I was too embarassed to ask him if this was the Gross (With VAT) price or Net (Without VAT). It must need a service, I assume. '93, 72,000Km (45,000 miles), asking price, 79,000 Euros ($94,260 USD at today's rate). Dash looks a little tired. I think Europe got ABS in '93. https://suchen.mobile.de/auto-inserat/ferrari-512-tr-andernach/261688581.html
18,000 3.3 liter 930 Porsche turbos made... MSRP $50k or so in 1989. Nice ones are 2-3x cost of new. 8000 testarossas made, 100k new. Should be 300k right now by the same logic. People argue that too many were made. 18,000>8000. Hasn't kept porsches from escalating in value...
Around 8000 ( same number of TR’s) Mondials also were produced. They were $65,000 new. So your logic assumes that a Mondial today would “worth” $200,000 . Unfortunately, relying solely on a production number , is not the way cars are valued in the collector marketplace
folks have posted in this thread that testarossa will never go up much in value due to production numbers, I simply refuted that. A mondial, is not a testarossa
sorry bpu, I read your post too quickly. It looks like you agree that production numbers are in fact NOT the main determining factor (especially once numbers start exceeding 3,000 or 4,000 cars produced
The testarossa is an acquired taste. Some love it..some hate it. From some angles the car looks ugly..others it looks amazing. It's a loud in your face car, that drives like a cement truck. It' limited market of buyers no matter how many were produced.
Like a cement truck? Lol Either you don’t know how to drive one or never driven one because it much more agile than u think. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
y you ever have driven a cement truck from the year the testarossa has been produced? you may not compare a todays cement truck with a testarossa - with all the helpings in a truck today the testarossa is hard to drive but the faster you go with a testarossa the easier it is to handle - a cement truck is otherwise
Freeze....Miami Concrete Services! Haha....Tom, that's a good one. I would remind you to keep the Testarossa in the perspective of it's time. Was a BBi better? ...a Daytona? ...a Countach? I don't think comparisons to modern cars are fair. It's not a modern car and no one is saying so. I just like the feel it offers as you just don't get that anymore...especially in an old car that's 27 years old at it's youngest! As far as looks, well that's subjective. It definitely doesn't follow the Ferrari norms or swoopy and sexy. The Testarossa is outlandish and extravagant. As a Lamborghini kinda guy, I guess that's why it appeals so much to me. That and a F 50 and F 40. ....and it's still a super reliable daily driver. Shamile Freeze...Miami Vice! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Aren't all Ferrari's (and other cars) anchored with some kind of fatal flaw, that seems to explain why prices are low initially? 308 was JUST a 6 cylinder, and slow Dino was NOT a real ferrari Daytona handled horribly at low speed, hard to drive... 308 gt4 is a fiat Queen Mother "car" was ugly Countach is a kit car, lousy quality Porsche 914 is a Volkswagen (billions made... almost) 911 is too dangerous to drive 55 chevy is ugly as sin with those fins Messerschmidt is an egg car NSX is Japanese soul-less tech All these cars sell at multiples of their original cost. Many had production in the 50,000+ range (think 914)... The testarossa hasn't skyrocketed due to lack of popularity. I suspect its more due to the financial issues of the generation that adored it. The kids of the 1980's don't have the disposable income of the baby boomers....
