Looks to be a euro or Canadian car and looks to be correct congrats to new owner
I see and the speedometer was converted to miles when it was imported?? So the car has 34k miles or kms?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Then misleading that the auction details showed miles. Good for the buyer though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
>Then misleading that the auction details showed miles. Bonhams regularly screws up their descriptions, everything from the year, to the vin, to pretty much everything else. Paraphrasing the head of their motoring dept: lot descriptions are based on the seller provided info and Bonhams' "impression" of the car. I bought a car that Bonhams described as being in "truly outstanding condition" that didn't even idle.
In auctions you just never know can’t test drive them get them inspected etc sometimes u may get one with concerns and somexs not the selling price looks to be what others in this cone been going for with lack of records. Covers tool not there. When all is there prices will adjust. At end of the day buyer got a flat 12 icon for under 100k
Not sure i could ever have the guts to buy at auction a tr...specially knowing how many have not been cared for people just looking to flip them since they went up. This car truly deserves to be loved and appreciated more. As far as prices they are what they are. Its interesting to note that in europe the testarossa is worth more than in the USA (asking price at least). On the opposite side the 512tr is cheaper there than here. I have now seen 3 512tr under 150 recently so that’s positive Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
No sale on this '91 35,000 mile example that needed a service. High bid was $73,000. (Last belt service 4400 miles ago in 2013.) Nothing visibly wrong with the car, but nothing to make you go wow, I have to have that one. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1991-ferrari-testarossa-5/
Why do you think the car needs a service when the ad states "maintenance was conducted within the past 200 miles according to the selling dealer"
I have been thinking about selling my TR and was doing some research on what I could expect to get for it. I stumbled across some data about TR auction results from 2001 - 2018. Interesting that when this thread originally started in 2010, prices were sinking, but look where they have come since then. The market is softening again as everyone has indicated. Wondering if I should hold the TR for the next cycle, if there is a next cycle... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Are those numbers all tr or include 512 too? That valeo killed the average Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Should only be Testarossa. Here is the link to the site: https://www.conceptcarz.com/valuation/8810/ferrari-testarossaaspx.aspx
So from the high in 2015, a -5% drop in 2016, then -7% from 2016 to 2017, and -11% from 2017 to 2018. Or a -21% drop from 2015 to 2018. So if not if (for the next cycle), when?
What the chart does not show are the cars that were not bid high enough to meet their reserves. How do you account for those? Are they worth what the high bid was or the low offer that was not met (The reserve)?
Love those numbers and true figures on both 512 and tr. not alarming whatsoever but i do think those will slightly settle. As mentioned: how do u account for reserve not met. Numbers dont tell it all though... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That $134 tr for sub 15k Miles is amazing. What’s a good ressource to find a lost of all upcoming auctions; id be curious! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
