Looks like that guy gambled on a flip and lost. Two or three years ago was the top of the market. I'm pretty sure that car sold for a lot of money last time.
140 it seems and was asking 179 on the second flip...110 was the max bid today... he should hold on to it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/az16/auction/lots/r106-1991-ferrari-testarossa Taken to the woodshed at 154k! Another one of those "I'm buying it for my collection" people I'm sure. Sorry sucker! LOL
U are right at least for now the tr is meant to be driven -the real collector will likely fetch a lot more money in a little while. 154 to 110 is a nice little loss here. Wonder if the owner is on the chat Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
What's wrong with a 1991 Canadian car, especially one that has already been imported into the US? It's over 25 years old. Both Canadian and US cars are listed as "North American" by their VIN. The Canadian cars have the advantage of no mouse belts. Anyone else know what is different, and why it should worth less?
For me euro versions and/orCanadians should be worth MORE but the perception of gray market cars is something that affects its demand and therefore its value. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
And ur thoughts on this auction result? Would a redbook have helped? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
red book doesnt bring in the most cash always, for people like me i will pay extra for the cleanest car .when the certification is in process alot of things go into it usually most owners have a open check book and when buying one imo gives me more peace of mind .ive been reallyhappy with mine and the next owner willbe also .i think its a great time to buy a 512or tr if prices do drop most owners that dont need to sell you wont see nice examples for sale
The smart ones would buy a Canadian car that’s been sitting in a garage for 5 months out to the year due to snow Vs a Florida car that’s been sitting in the sun for 12 months of the year And Canadian cars don’t get in harms way of hurricanes or wild fires
Same reason right hand drive kills a sale. Most people dont want to get used to it. I like all configurations. But I am me and cool w it.
Because as mentioned I don't want to get used to it. There are plenty of TR's to go around and I wouldn't want one that read kilometers. I wouldn't want to look at it and I wouldn't want to have to answer the questions about why mine is in kilometers, "were they all like that?" "No, I bought a Canadian one." "Why did you buy a Canadian one?" blah blah. not worth it and I'm in the majority.
But when you see those kms you know you saved 10k and still own a Testarossa Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
i dont see prices sinking trying to buy a used g63 amg car market is still holding not falling sorry guys
I hope all you other Testarossa fans celebrated Don Johnson’s 69th birthday yesterday!! I know I did (and proud to admit it)!!
Yeah I took the day off from work yesterday, lol. Someone said they are working on making it a national holiday, i don't know if that is true or not.
...and Crockett still gets the chicks Don Johnson is still a damn good looking guy. I was surprised when I googled him. Shamile Freeze....Miami Vice! Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
It could be a good thing....let the prices sink. If you are selling your TR. Great buying opportunity to pick up a second or third. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
