Does anything know anything about this car. It's been on E Bay for a while now. Im thinking about making an offer on the car but the fact that the car isn't selling scares me. What should this car go for, and What kind of offer should I make. I have never seen a Testarossa with the light covers and intake scoups polished before. Thank you.

I assume your talking about the white/black '89 with aftermarket wheels? Yes...I've watched that car on ebay for quite a while now. It looks quite nice I think....tastefully done....not garish or gawdy. And if you don't like the polished side scoop splitters and light grills....you could always return them to the original color. This is one of those cars that I think will look better in person than in pictures. I see there aren't any engine bay pics....darn. But the black interior is a plus, not the typical tan/brown. It would be nice if the stock wheels came with the car too....maybe they are available? The biggest thing I see with this car affecting price is the color....white isn't most people's first choice, usually red or black....then the rare colors like yellow or blue. If this car has all books, records, tools, and jack kit. And it is as nice as it appears...I would say it should bring $55 to $65. Just my opinion and I'm sure others can't wait to pounce on me about those infamous $35k Testarossas that they can find "all day long". Personally I've NEVER seen any TRs for this price unless they were just one step above being a parts car!! You get what you pay for...and I would gladly pay more for a car with great cosmetics and solid mechanics. I think I've seen high bids for this car in the low-mid $50s or so and each time the reserve is not met. If you know anyone close by the car...call them and have them look it over for you. Keep us posted.....gotta love those TRs !!!

I think that looks like a pretty sweet TR. I just bought my first one about a month ago (RED/TAN) and they really are great cars.

Don't be afraid if it hasn't sold on EBAY. Most people on ebay bidding on that car are cheap asses hoping to "steal" a car like that for a really low price. I put my Viper on there about 4 years ago and got a high bid of $27K for a mint 94' RT/10 with lots of upgrades. I sold it three weeks later to a dealer for $38K. I was actually kind of offended by the low bids. Any dealer will tell you that they rarely sell cars on ebay, they just use it to advertise.

Like carguy says, if you don't like the polished parts have em changed back, wouldnt cost too much. That car ALREADY has bigger wheels and painted lowers.......something I'm waiting to do on mine!

    Good luck.

I agree with carguy on the price. The drivers seat looks a little tattered. If they really knew TR's they would show the dash top unless they were hiding it so I would be worried about that. I would also want to know who did the service to know they were real Ferrari people and up to speed.

Remember, have it checked out and.... Caveat Emptor

That car ran through a local TN dealer auction. I don't remember what it went for but it was funny to see this car there. I think it had been passed around alot by dealers. Rarely do cars like this show up at that auction.

Looks like a nice car. I actuall like the collor, especially with the front valance and rocker pannels painted body color. I had this done with my yellow TR and it really made the car look great IMHO. I also had the rear bumper painted body color which really cleaned up the back end. As with anyting on a Ferrari, these update don't come cheap especially if done right. Get a PPI. If it checks out this may be the car for you! Good luck.

I saved a few photos of the car several auctions back for reference. I was never a fan of the slats on the side or across the tail lights on the Testarossa or the 348 but this car has had, IMHO, some positive modifications and I like it in white as well.

But...., based on their "purchase price" and "financing calculations" it seems that they expect something north of $90,000.
