Hi, I thought I’d post this thread before making any alterations to my speedometer. I’m in Australia and have a ‘87 Euro Testarossa, which has both kilometers per hour and miles per hour on the speedo and I find it a little hard to read the km/h as the mls/h are the predominant markings. I know from time to time people in the US import Euro cars and have to change the speedo to mls/h, my question is does anyone have a kilometer per hour speedo they want to swap for the one on my car. Also on the same note, I have a mls/h odometer, which again I would rather be in km/h. Anyone wanting to swap or have either a km/h speedo or odometer for sale please post or pm me, I am very interested. Both the speedo and odometer on my car work great and the odometer has about 40 000 miles on it.
    Thanks
    Steve

Dude, why dont you just stick to 40mph around the suburbs and 60mph on the freeway ect....?? They are easy enough to read! Look how big the numbers are?? lol :D

You can have your speedometer re-silk screened at www.paspeedo.com for a couple hundred bucks. They wil recalibrate the odometer for you as well. There may be a company that does the same thing in Australia as well?

Just out of curiosity, how easy was it to get to the gauges? I was going to recover the leather hood over the gauges as there is some shrinkage, and I was going to replace any bulbs back there...

Was it easy to get back there? Do I have to disassemble the entire dash?

    Thanks for your responses.
parkerfe, I know a few companies here who do the speedo and odometer alterations and may eventually have to go that way, but I thought I may be lucky and find someone who would like to swap or sell theirs because they had to change from km & km/h.
bpu699, unfortunately, I can’t answer your question as I haven’t removed mine yet, but if you need it, I can e-mail you the relevant pages from the workshop manual.
    Thanks again
    Steve

I just got my car back and I'm still looking to swap my mph speedometer and odometer for km/h only. Or anyone selling either or both in km/h please let me know. Steve
