Avon intermediate track tyres work well if the car isnt a daily driver
I have the P-Zero Nero M+S tyres on my S4 and my brother's A6, even know that they are "all-season" tyres, they are actually better than some of the "summer only high performance" tyres. I think you will be very happy with them. Tyre technology has came a long way and unless you go with racing slicks, the line that divided the all-season vs. summer only high performance tyres are becoming rather blurry. However, there may be a long wait for them as my brother had to wait about 3 months to get them. Then again, since you are not looking into replacing them until late winter, it shouldn't be that big of an issue.
Any particular reason the SP8000 is not on your list ? Also check the treadwear rating on the Yokos. You'll be replacing them every year. Kenny K.
I have used the Dunlops for the past few years for both on and off the the track...The wear is great, ride very well, and cost reasonable.
Thanks for the info on the Dunlops. Do you have a picture of your 86 TR with these tires? Which wheels are you using?
I have just fitted Pilot Sports on my '91 Testarossa - they took some finding but I'm very happy with the performance. They were fitted by a Ferrari specialist who recommended I move to 18" wheels - I wanted to stay with the standard look. Andy
