testarossa windows getting slower

    my ferrari brothers , my 89 testarossa windows are getting slower ,i did take the switches apart , did a little adjustment and they worked alot better , but getting slower again , time to replace any idea to get switches from for a good price , or any ideas , the windows go up and down find , but getting slower and sometimes you have to play with the switch i even had to cycle the ign sw and then the windows came up , what's up with that ! love my ferrari reguards to all jim in calif

    Hello Jim.

    I know of an Aussie Fchatter that removed the cable pullies from the door and cleaned and lubricated them all. I think that is all that he did and his windows work great now. :):)

    I will try and find his post and clarify it for you. Or I will just get him to post in here with some more info on how and what he did. But I am sure he said his windows were very slow, now they work perfect. :D:D

    Here ya go Jim. I found a link to his thread for you. There are pics in that thread also.

    Robert actually serviced the window motors and he lubricated the cables. :):)

    He also fitted some of the window "boosters" from Fchatter Rodney Dickman. I also have some in my 348 and they work GREAT! I do not have Rodney's fitted, but they would be the same as mine I can imagine. ;);)

    First step would be to spray the window felts and tracks with silicone lubricant...Use the nozzle applicator to control it and not get it on the paint. That made a HUGE difference on my 308. Next would be those accelerator thingies.

    thank you, will try cleaning cables good idea, and spraying sides of windows , might just work , who sell ferrari lube !!!!!, thank you all reguards jim
