    Gents:

    Hello. I've been vexed with the idea of directly importing a boxer to the US. All of the cars here were brought in sometime ago via what we called the grey market of the 80s. To lawfully import these cars, major butchery to the emissions, bumpers lights and etc. were mandated. Now, any car 24 years old or older is exempt from these requirements (or at least so I am reliably informed). I'd have to ship the car, pay import duties (2.5%) and some minor fees. Anyway, I've seen two cars in Switzerland at Carugati that are intriguing. The price is a little steep on the BB, but the age is right. Does anyone know this fellow well or have any thoughts for having the car inspected to assure, to the extent one reasonably can, that I'm not chasing a pig in a poke. Any thoughts are welcome!

    Carugatti is not a dealership first of all. Second of all, they are thieves. They over price everything. I wonder how they are still in business. Everything they sell is available elsewhere for much cheaper. The only thing they are officially affiliated with is Pagani. But then again, they are not the official dealership. They say on the website that they are the official Pagani dealers in Switzerland. They are just a certified service center. Being a service center doesn’t necessarily mean you are a dealer.
