    Ok

I know some of the folks here have expressed some interest in "being my assistant" well you really didn't want that this past week.

I can't really get too far into it in this forum due to a pending lawsuit but lets just say I spent a week as a guest of the County of Dallas.

I have a story to tell and advice to seek.

It will be worth the effort and time to have a bite.

Name the day and place, I will be there. Jimpo if you could take the lead on picking a place, I would recommend someplace with comfortable seats, this may take a while.

Dinner would give us more time. :) I'd be an interested listener.

I am IN. Name a time and place. Jim's "boring" stories beat my best efforts. Can't wait to hear this one :)

Why is it always Dallas? Why can't we meet in the mid cities area? HEB is OK with me.

Big time I am in, this sounds like a juicy story, esp. since the county is involved.

I second the dinner idea...although I'm good with a happy hour instead. Let's make sure that Jim gets the time and attention this story deserves.

Really don't care where or when. Honestly I would rather not be within the "Dallas Police Department" area of influence so something around 121 114 (not hooters too loud and distracting) would be best. Evening happy hour might be a good idea.

Dave this is worse than your worst nightmare

I'm in. I'm working at LBJ and Luna Road. Post it here and I'll stay "late"

There's a SaltGrass at MacArthur & LBJ. There's also Taco Diner at MacArthur & 114 but I think that's Dallas Cty. I'm not too familiar with further out. There's also Mercado Juarez. Or we could meet up at LoD and head out from there.

Sounds like a good story, but I can't do a happy hour. Too much soccer/basketball/boy scouts stuff going on in the evenings. Somebody get the scoop and call me!

How about Via Real on N. MacArthur in Las Colinas Plaza? I ate there a while ago and the food was excellent.

    Here's their address..

Jim M., I've been waiting for this opportunity all my life(?). Especially now that Robbie has explained to me in excrutiating(sp?) detail about how to shave male legs in order to become an official Texas Driver Magazine "Assistant." I'm also prepared to go braless if that helps.

The problem with tonite is that I have already agreed to take a client rep to Happy Hour tonite, get her intoxicated and take advantage of her drunken state in the back seat of my Dodge Charger R/T. I can't bring her to an F-Car event. So if she bails, I'll be there tonite. Otherwise, I shall review the notes compiled by Speedracerette for Jim E's benefit. Over & out. Starsky

    Okie-dokie..

Should we meet up around, say 5:30ish and have storytelling start around 6:00?

That would be great, Dave, if you called and make reservations. Do they let you reserve in the bar? I'm sure you will figure it out. Also, I noticed they have valet...hope they will us self park.

Hope this works for everyone. If not, then at least Dave and I will throwing down some margheritas! :)

Okay, I'll call over there and have them make sure we've got a cozy spot... as soon as the "Guest of Honor" says he's coming :)

Will, you can just jump on 183, it's just a couple miles north of 183 after you exit MacArthur.

SR, I'll make sure the guys know you'll be self parking. :)

Jim, Via Real is right next door to the Four Seasons resort in Las Colinas. On the north side of the Tom Thumb flagship store complex.

It's in the same shopping center as the Tom Thumb at Northgate and MacArthur.
