    Please join Texas Driver Magazine for its first “Texas Driver Magazine Road to Adventure” on Sunday, July 11, 2004. The one-day event is scheduled to take enthusiasts to historic Jefferson, Texas, on a fun filled drive.

    We hope that the Ferrari Club will join us and bring their fun cars!

    The day will be led by renowned automotive artist Bill Neale and begin at 8:30 a.m. from Lineback Enterprises’ showroom (6401 W. Park in Plano). The three-hour cruise will take drivers deep into scenic East Texas, where they will be regaled over lunch with stories of Le Mans from the scheduled guests. Legendary drivers Jacque Grelley and Charlie Nearburg will discuss competing in the endurance race. Charlie drove a Ferrari prototype at Le Mans in the late 1990's.

    The return voyage will take the caravan back through the back roads to the Dallas area by 6:30 p.m., when each driver will go their separate ways and wait for the next “Texas Driver Magazine Road to Adventure.”

    There is no cost other than your lunch. We hope you will join other Texas Driver “members” in their performance cars for this “adventure”.     This sounds like a fun day! If I can get Rodney up, we'll be there - it's a little early to actually BE somewhere AT 8:30 AM; or will you be leaving at 9:00 AM?

    We'll be at the SECOND SATURDAY GELATI NIGHTS the night before - July 10 - at Paciugo's in Plano, but that is only from 8 PM to 10 PM AND no hangover! So we can drive, drive, drive!

    A drive in JULY? Damn, that sounds hot. Maybe I need to borrow Rodneys "Meat Cooler" Fiat.

    Sounds like a lot of fun, but this will probably be a last minute decision for me, as I have other plans that weekend that might interfere. Now if it would just stop raining!

    My racing-inspired daughter should enjoy hearing what

    This is Texas in the middle of the summer... the best time of day is from 6:30am to 8:30am!!


    Hmmm... that might be a good family activity that night... the in-laws are in town.

    I hope to go, and have already contacted some other guys. Bill Neale is an amazing artist, as well as one of Shelby's best friends. Nearburg is a great storyteller, and should be great to listen to.

    Number Two: Dr. Evil... it's about the sharks. When you were frozen, they were put on the endangered species list. We tried to get some, but it would've taken months to clear up the red tape.

    Dr. Evil: You know, I have one simple request, and that is to have sharks with frickin' laser beams attached to their heads! Now, evidently, my cycloptic colleague informs me that that can't be done. Can you remind me what I pay you people for? Honestly, throw me a bone here!

    I talked with Bill Neale, and he has come up with a good cruise, getting near Tawakoni on the way to Jefferson area for lunch. I'm in as well as my next door neighbor with a Diablo. Talked with the magazine and there should be 25+ cars.
