Thanks so much to Scott and James for organizing a fun event. Loved having the Terlingua Racing Team there in force. Fast cars, barbecue, and stories of Lemans, nowhere else but Texas. Here's a few pics.

Big thanks to Jim & Scott, everyone from Texas Driver Magazine, & Lineback Enterprises. This event was awesome. You couldn’t ask for better weather & great company. I wish I could have stayed longer but it took me about 2 hours to get back to Ft. Worth. It was great to see some familiar faces again, one that I haven’t seen since I left Houston. Looking forward to the next event.

Thanks for the pictures. They already bring back fond memories of the day, which has not yet ended.

The gathering at Lineback this morning was interesting because of the cars and their owners, and the personalities showing up and knowing we were going to spend a good share of the day with both. The drive to lunch in Sulphur Springs was interesting because those of us who knew not where we should turn had to drive spiritedly to maintain contact with those running in front. Being "forced" to exercise the 360 made for some exciting, but all too brief, runs to catch up.

The locals who came to Bodacious Barbeque for lunch got a surprise car show as the parking lot was overtaken, probably for the first time in it's history, with approximately 25 exciting cars of different description.

However, as the locals admired the candy in the parking lot, those of us fortunate enough to be inside with the Texas Driver Magazine cruisers were treated to stories from Bill Neale, and Charlie and Jaque(sp) two drivers who raced at Lemans, and what stories they had to tell! Being able to listen to these three gentlemen made the trip a very worthwhile excursion. I eagerly await the next.

We also enjoyed the excursion after lunch even though we didn't make a correct turn and ended up going to Mineola before running back up 69 to 380 and on home. We came within 20 miles of our ranch by Hawkins and I was very tempted to complete that run, but it was getting late and I knew I needed to be back in town tomorrow so common sense won that round.

Thanks to those of you other cruisers my wife and I had a chance to meet and talk with for making the trip more enjoyable and fun. Hope to see you out there again!

As I'm sure my wife would agree I sign us both.

Looks like y'all had fun drive. I would went if I was in Dallas.

It seems whenever something's going on, other commitment is already there. Oh, I forgot, I don't have my car right now. I guess this wasn't meant for me....

I should get my car back tomorrow, though.

Had an excellent time yesterday and it was great to meet everyone. I can still hear Jano's tubi singing in my head (just barely over the headache from the massive sunburn).

    Can't wait until next time..

Sorry I missed it, looks like there were some nice cars. The good news is, I found a great curvy road to take the Ferrari on. The bad news is, it's 3 hours from Dallas and I was in the Yukon XL when I found it.

I REALLY want to thank Matt Linebeck for loaning us the Panoz and the Porsche and being host to our kick off, and Scott Black and James for putting together my kind of event. One that we get credit for but only have to show up. First rate my bucko's

As Charlie Nearburg was closing his presentation to our group he asked, "Does anyone have anymore questions." I was tempted to ask Charlie, "what the fastest he had ever driven his yellow Corvette on a two lane road in east Texas? Knowing from first hand observation that morning he had been faster than 170! Great conversations, cars and people and I look forward to attending again.
