No I wasn't thinking about the Alfa engine (don't even know the connection to the California).

From your report it sounds like the 360 engine design was used as a base for the 4.2 Maser engine and then that engine was further developed into the F430 engine. So for all intents and purposes I'd say your engine does qualify. Your factory tour confirms that. BTW: The MC12 IMHO also qualifies, in case you guys have one sitting around.

thanks for getting the pic Jim. My total of 184 miles may be good enough for the garage queen award but not for Mille Miglia. Forr 2009 I will combine total miles on all the cars to get sail past the mille miglia mark.
