Rob- Affirmative, the radome tends to delaminate once integrity is breached. Spent almost 6 years flying F-111Ds at Cannon, but this happened after I left. I have hit about 15 birds low level during 18 years flying F-111s. Luckily none hit anything critical, like me, but we took out slats on several occasions.
