The Ferrari 400 and 412 is equipped with a TH 400 trans. Is it the very same as found in GM cars from the 70s and 80s or is there a difference?

Jaguar and Rolls Royce also used variations on the Turbo 400. I believe the bellhousing bolt patterns (among other things) are different than Chevrolet.

There are 2 bell housing arrangements: chevy/buick and pontiac/oldsmobile and several tailshafts ranging from the shortest, which would have been in a camaro/firebird to the longest which would have been in a full size impala/bonneville.

There are plenty to choose from so it's not like any one will work.

Mounting is different, but the internals are the same, so the transmission can be rebuilt/serviced by many transmission repair centers.
