From the deep of my heart, thank you. To cut a very long story short, the alternator of my 348 spider died on me 3 times in a row. I know it looks crazy, but here in Italy it is practically impossible to source RELIABLE replacement components for the Nippondenso unit. Knowing that Ernie went through my same ordeal in USA, I asked him if he could procure me the same parts he used to sort his alternator, buy them for me and ship them to Italy. He just ordered them and did the needful. Result is that Saturday at noon the postman delivered the package at my place in Italy What more can I say? THANK YOU Eugenio
Ernie is a valuable asset to the FChat community. When I had my clutch apart, he was there to answer all of my phone calls and emails and his assistance was paramount to that job.
indeed....the stuff i dig up posted by Ernie is just amazing and downright helpful......and to be honest, the two members of the Brotherhood posted above me here as well....always there to guide in the right way.....cheers guys......
Yup, you can add, "Ferrari alternator helper expert," to your resume brother. I went through three rebuilds in relatively close succession about a year ago and Ernie was there to point me in the right direction. I can now rebuild mine, in-place and in-my-sleep...
yup, Ernie moved to the mid-land of America among the cows, the corns, the corn-fed cows, where they think Ferrari is a GT40 Ford. But, California is still his other home.
Ernie, you are excellent at drinking beer and eating bar food. No kinder words will be spoken than these!
Save all your bottles this Sunday and then take them in so we can all start the "bring Ernie back" fund
After all the freedom he has tasted since moving from the DPRKalifornia, I fear the most we'll see of him is the occasional visit now.
