for shooting that rock off the ground and hitting my windshield. Now I have a 1-1.5cm sized nick on my windshield.

A simple google search brought me to Safelite. Anyone have any experience with them? or does anyone know good shops in the Northern NJ area (closer to Clifton the better) to get this repaired? I do not want this to get worse so I will get it done as early as tomorrow and as late as this weekend. I do not want to replace my whole windshield unless it's the only option. Thanks in advance!

If it is that big it is probably not repairable.....although performing the process may prevent it from expanding. Is it a crack or the mashed glass look from a solid impact ?

It's a small line going horizontal so I would assume it's a crack. That is what it looks like from the inside and from the outside you see a fine pin hole type of a puncture.

Sounds like it will be OK if you get it repaired.........

Those guys can drill out a small hole, and impregnate a resin material to stabilize the damage.

However there is an imaginary square directly in front of the driver view which they will not repair for liability reasons.

Any major glass company, including Safelite, should be fine. With cracks like that, it is a gamble. They'll advise you better than i can.
