    I was driving home late last night and came off the freeway to a deserted street. It was well lit, three lanes across and just for fun floored it for a few hundred yards, before letting it off and rolling to a stop light. While I was sitting at the light a convertible porsche rolled up and the guy said, Hey, thanks a lot...!"

    While he paused I ran through the most probable ways he was going to finish his sentence in my mind.

    "...for driving like an ******"
    "...for waking up the neighborhood."
    "...for showing off like a rich idiot."

    He smiled and continued, "...for driving a Ferrari like it's supposed to be driven." He smiled, gave me a thumbs up and we both went on our way as the light turned green.

    I can't imagine getting the same response in any other car. :)

    Great little story, thanks for the write up:) While reading it, I actually thought it would end as it did. Remember, while the guy may not have driven an Fcar, he still drove a nice sportscar, so it's safe to say that he was someone who could appreciate your 458, and also was understanding of the fact that there was room for a little fun.

    Thanks for sharing. I like hearing stories like that.

    I was at a stop light on a 4 lane road a few weeks ago. Pulled up next to a gentleman in a older 944. I took off from the light slowly as to not be an ******. Then I realized he was on it, so I put the hammer down for a few seconds before it merged into a single lane. When we approached a turn lane and he turned off, he gave me a giant thumbs up out the window.
