So searching old posts really helped me out here and this is why I love Fchat.

So before my recent move from Montana to Texas I sold all my other cars and kept only my 348, partially because it has been in some state of disassemble for the last few years. I’ve only driven it 42 miles in the last two years which is sad.
My work was drastically slowed by multiple back surgeries and resulting nerve damage leaving me wondering if I would ever be able to work a clutch again anyway. (I can now, kind of. Where there’s a will, there’s a way). So in this long drawn out process where I can barely find days I’m healthy enough to try to get some done I have started to forget how some things came apart or what I did and didn’t get back together.
I’ve been working on replacing all the tan interior with black, replaced the dash, fixed ac unit and ducts, removed some excessive stereo equipment, removed the mouse belt system and replaced with 355 style 3 point belts and 355 B seats.
I also started rebuilding all the suspension, I got all the front done, new ball joints, tie rods, all new control arm, sway bar, Shock bushings etc. new steel brake lines and drilled rotors etc. I got some of the rear done but have to skip doing the control arm bushings for now since I had to get it on it’s wheels, load it in my trailer, and head for Texas.
Well all that to say before I loaded it I took it out for a nice drive to check out the new suspension components and it was wonderful. I got back to my shop and and left it idle while I walked around the car and checked all 4 corners, ( I had lowered it a bit and wanted to check for rubbing etc) all good but when I got back in the car I found the temp gauge pegged and the light on. I immediately shut it down and it boiled over a bit. I realized that I had not heard any fans running while I had been looking in the wheel wells.

NO! did I mess up some wiring when I pulled the stereo equipment or the mouse belts? Am I going to spend countless hours trying to trace out wires? Its been weighing on me for months. I was gearing up in my head for the worst and having to trace everything out. Fortunately I decided to search Fchat and found a thread that mentions unplugging the temp sensor from the RH radiator and jumping the connector to test the rest of the system. Finally today I was able to try it and to my relief both fans came on when I turned the key on. Yes! It’s just the sensor! I was convinced it was something I did and was going to start looking from the other end of the system. Thank goodness someone shared Here on Fchat and made me think to at least try from the other side.
Now, where can I get a new temp sensor in the US? Ricambi shows unavailable. Superformance has them but I don’t want to pay shipping from the UK on such a small part.

Which temp senor, the one in the radiator the turns the fans on at a certain temp? Call "Tom Vail" or "Ferr parts" they had them. I replaced all 3 of these with new sensors (I actually have a spare new 348 temp sensor too, I put a new 355 one in that superseded it but it comes on at a higher temp si I will swithc it out when I do next major) along with new SPAL fans. I got the parts from those two vendors.
⦁ COOLING FAN SENDING UNIT #158655
    ⦁ Temperature Sender #104628
    ⦁ Coolant Temp Sensor #125769
    ⦁ Spal #30102061 Puller Fan - 9In
    ⦁ Spal #30102038 Puller Fan - 12In

Look into adding PWM controllers too.

Doesn't Eurospares have the radiator temperature switch? They are offering free postage at the moment, but I don't know if there is a minimum spending limit.

The Ferrari part for the 348 Fan switch is 140314, it is superseded by 158655. I have them both new.
Ricambi does have it. You may need to clarify what switch your looking at.

Only on orders over £350 now, I think it was orders of £150 over Xmas. I just don’t want to pay $40 shipping on a $20 part so trying to see who might stock it over here or I might just spring for some parts and make a big order to make it worth while. I just already have the car filled with parts I want to install. I just need good days or better pain killers.
