    ..............the F430!

    I appreciate all of your comments following my first two posts.

    On Saturday, I headed out early to spec a March build 997tt cab. As I45 split off to hwy 59, my 997 C2S made a (subliminal) exit, and we once again visited Ferrari of Houston. This time, a great guy, Peter Betts was in the office. He was short staffed and busy, but took me on a tour back through the shops and past the race team tractor trailers.

    In the final shop was an Enzo getting some touch-up paint following a vigorous track event. Also present were three brand new F430's being prepped for delivery. He handed me the key while I sat in one vehicle, and told me to press start. We idled the car for around 20 seconds, and I was sold. Of course, I never made it to the Porsche dealer.

    Now the fun begins---the search for the right car!!

    Congrats, I really dont think you can go wrong with the 430, no matter if its a spider or a coupe both are fantastic, both provided thrilling driving experience. In my opinion whats make a Ferrari so unqiue is when you walk up to it, you feel that special feeling that just intensifies when you start the engine, no other car I think can give you that same feeling.

    Yeah, the same thing happened to me. I had a 430 for a weekend and while I was preparing to order a Porsche (GT2 or TT), I completely changed my mind and began a 1yr hunt for the perfect 360. I have been very happy with the Ferrari and know you'll be just as excited. Good luck, and be patient.

    Great decision!

    Enjoy the entire experience. My uncle Frank told me about his experience "shopping" for his F430. He said every dealership he went to and every car he test drove was a great experience. After driving the F430 he was sold on it. The most fun he has had as an owner was when he and dozens of other Ferrari owners met at Tavern on the Green (NYC) and they all drove to D.C. I can only imagine how cool that must have been. Keep us posted.
