    On this particular holiday weekend, I would like to say thanks for my Ferraris. Thanks for the Lusso, and for the 360, and for the 575M. Thanks for all the exciting cars in between. They have all been a great joy.

    Thanks to all of you who made this magnificent experience possible. Thanks for the opportunity to have had a truly exhilerating 27 year career. Thanks for the family who has shared all this.

    You have been most generous. You gave up many of your most precious moments to make this possible. I joined you in 1966 and we had some good times, didn't we? We had some very scary moments, too. Man. that was a trip. We did it together, didn't we? Damn right we did! We crawled, we ran, we swam, and we flew.

    Since 1776 we formed this club. We've been through a lot. To those of you who have given it all, we're coming to join you. All in good time.
