    I forget his name,but he was the first to collect Ferraris back then and owned many that are now multi-million dollar cars. I remember his 250gt spyder, the one before the California, in gold, covered headlamps almost identical to the ex-Richard Teague burned-out-and-rebuilt car. A PR man told me that, back in the '60s,he convinced his wife to let him buy the car though that $35K price exceeded his wife's schoolteacher yearly salary. Did I hear this price right?

    You are referring to Norman Silver, from High Point, there are couple of very old threads about him. Also an article in an old Prancing Horse about his collection 30 or so Ferrari's
